About the Role We are seeking detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Associates to support our legal team in managing case files, preparing legal documents, conducting research, and ensuring smooth day-to-day legal operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and analytical skills, a solid understanding of legal procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. We work with a wide range of legal issues specific to Islamic finance and fintech, including regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, intellectual property, data privacy, and cross-border transactions. You will have the chance to work with a team of dedicated lawyers under the leadership of the Chief Legal Officer admitted to the practice of law in New York State. What you'll be doing: Conducting in-depth legal research; Assisting supervising lawyers with drafting legal documents, such as memoranda, contracts, and correspondence; Creating, organizing, and maintaining up-to-date departmental files of all correspondence; Classifying data to ensure the Company has an accurate, accessible, and complete record of its contractual commitments; Attending team meetings, providing administrative and ongoing project support; Contributing to optimizing the team’s efficiency; Maintaining electronic databases and organizing files for off-site storage; Maintaining regulatory documentation, filing systems, spreadsheet, etc.; Participating in special projects and initiatives, and taking on other duties as assigned. Assistance with contract review and negotiations; Research and assistance on intellectual property, securities law, investment law, corporate law, privacy laws, and regulatory compliance under US and other jurisdictions where Musaffa operates. What we're looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Law; Recent graduates or up to 2 years of experience in a law firm or legal department (preferred); Participated in international moot court competitions, or similar academic legal contests (preferred); Strong legal research and writing skills demonstrated through academic work or prior experience; Ability to work independently and as part of a team; Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; Demonstrated interest in commercial and corporate law; Fluency in English; A self-starter eager to learn; Passion for Islamic finance and technology; Entrepreneurial mindset; Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience in legal databases Why Join Musaffa?
